INVESTMENT CRCO CASTING materials are specialized dental laboratory products used in the casting process of dental prosthetics made from chromium-cobalt alloys. These investment materials are designed to form precise, heat-resistant molds that allow molten metal to be accurately cast into detailed dental frameworks and restorations.
In the fabrication of metal-based dental prosthetics, the casting process begins with the creation of a wax pattern representing the desired restoration. This pattern is surrounded by INVESTMENT CRCO CASTING material within a casting ring. Once the investment has hardened, the assembly is heated in a burnout furnace where the wax is eliminated, leaving a cavity that mirrors the exact shape of the restoration. Molten chromium-cobalt alloy is then introduced into the mold to produce the final prosthetic structure.
INVESTMENT CRCO CASTING materials are formulated to withstand the high temperatures required for casting chromium-cobalt alloys while maintaining dimensional stability. This ensures that fine details from the original pattern are accurately reproduced and that the resulting restoration achieves the required fit and structural integrity.
